Welcome to the AFF 2012 Calendar Contest! Please review all the guidelines listed below to make sure the process goes as smoothly as possible!

Submission Requirements:

1. We will have two categories for submissions, Original Art or Original Photography.
2. All submissions must be the submitters own art or photography, due to copyright laws no fan art is allowed.
3. Full frontal nudity is not allowed. Please leave the nibbly bits covered.
4. You may submit as many entries in either category as you would like.
5. All submissions must meet the image guidelines as listed below so that it is compatible with the CafePress store.
6. Any work that you submit may be used either for the calendar or other items with in the CafePress store.
7. Submissions must include the following release statement verbatim:
   

   “I, (insert your name), certify that the submitted work is my own and is not subject to any copyright. By submitting this work, I allow AdultFanFiction.net to use the image in their CafePress.com store and understand that I will not be receiving any monetary reimbursement if they choose to use submitted image. I further attest that I am at least 18 years of age and legally allowed to use and access AdultFanFiction.net.”

8. Also in your email, please include how you would like to be recognized on the calendar. You may either include your full name or a pseudonym, which ever you are more comfortable with.
9. Submissions are due by 11-01-2011, we apologize but anything submitted after that date cannot be accepted.
10. As submissions will be voted on by the members of AFF, so please do not sign your work. If in the final printing you prefer to have your work signed, when sending in your submission please send us both a signed and unsigned copy.
11. Submissions must be mailed to contest@adultfanfiction.net
12. Please note that in honor of our 10th anniversary, there are two contests running this year. Be sure to note in your subject line that you are submitting for the calendar contest.

Contest Timeline:

• Submissions are due by 11-01-2011
• User submissions will be uploaded to a submission page by 11-06-2011
• Voting will be open from 11-06-2011 to 11-20-2011
• We will then transfer the images into the CafePress Store as quickly as possible to give everyone enough time to purchase calendars and other items in time for the new year!

Voting

• Once the submission period ends, all art will be uploaded and numbered for anonymity.
• A poll will be posted in the contest forum to allow for voting
• All members and guests will be allowed to vote
• One vote per person
• The 12 submissions with the highest number of votes will be used on the calendar
• Forum Guests will be allowed to vote

Image Guidelines

• The dimensions for the wall calendar are 11.5x9 (Without any border) or 11x8.5 (With border)
  

  Images should be 200 DPI which translates to 1800x2300

• Images that look good on the screen can look "jagged" or "chunky" when printed. A good test is to print your images on a laser printer. If it looks jagged scaled to the size you want it - it will look jagged when CafePress prints it too.
• JPGs and PNGs are the file formats CafePress currently supports for uploaded images.
• JPGs work best for photos/images with lots of colors or smooth color transitions.
• JPGs are terrible for text, straight lines, and solid colors. JPG has a user-controllable "compression" setting also. It's best to set the compression as low as possible. (larger file = better quality)
• PNGs work best for text and images with straight lines and solid colors.
• Rule of thumb:
  

  Text and solid colors = PNG
  Photos = JPG and PNG

Miscellaneous Information:

• The contest is open to regular members only. Staff and admin are not allowed to submit or to vote.
• AFF staff will determine placement of images with in the calendar.
• If we do not have enough images in each category to complete a calendar, we will combine the categories to create one calendar.
• For any artist who's work is selected to be in the calendar, we will link them to a special storefront with in CafePress that will allow them to purchase the calendar at cost!
